About

A sense of place. The here and now. The everyday. What are some signposts of living in Christchurch in 2017? The ephemeral and unsung elements that often go unnoticed hold a kind of truth. Cloud patterns and water movements. Discarded rubbish accumulated in a gutter. Weeds in cracks in concrete. These three artists held residence in The Social’s studio space at CoCA for a week and created works from their collections and observations.
